The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) of Tamil Nadu will declare the +2 public exam result 2018 on May 16.
“The HSC +2 examination results expected on 16 May 2018,” Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamilnadu, said in a single line message.
There would be no delay in declaration of the Plus Two results, School Education Minister K A Sengottaiyan has said recently, it may be recalled.
Addressing reporters on the sidelines of a function held on Saturday, he said the results will be released on May 16 as scheduled and there will not be even a day's delay.
Around 9 lakh students from 6,903 schools in Tamilnadu and Puducherry wrote the exams that were held between 3 March and 6 April in 2,794 centers. In Chennai region, 50,584 students took up the exam in 156 centres. This includes 40,686 private candidates.
Last year, the Tamil Nadu Class 12 results were declared on May 12. In 2017, the overall pass percentage recorded a marginal increase to 92.1%, as compared to 91.4% in 2016.
