Superstar Rajinikanth on Friday night returned to Chennai from the United States. He was accorded a rousing reception at the airport.
The audio of Rajinikanth's Kaala, directed by Pa Ranjith, is all set to be launched in the city. The album, which has music by Santhosh Narayanan, will be unveiled at YMCA Nandanam on May 9.
There will be a live performance by Santhosh Narayanan and Dopeadelicz & RAP crew. As per reports, the crew will perform a few songs in front of the audience.
The entire audio launch will be streamed live on social media platforms such as YouTube, Twitter and Facebook.
In the movie, Rajinikanth plays a man from Tirunelveli who escapes to Mumbai as a child and goes on to become a powerful don living in the slums of Dharavi.
Kaala, which is predominantly set and shot in Mumbai, could be the superstar’s biggest release in Hindi in a long time. Even though the film is being dubbed in Hindi, its makers still want a wide release considering the film’s pan-Indian star cast.
