Aishwarya Dhanush's next attempt

Aishwarya R Dhanush who has directed commercial flicks like 3 and Vai Raja Vai is all set to direct a biopic on Indian Paralympic High Jump Champion Mariyappan Thangavelu , who won Gold Medal at 2016 Rio Paralympics.

Titled Mariyappan, Aishwarya Rajinikanth Dhanush's film will throw spotlight on the life of 21-year-old high jumper Mariyappan Thangavelu from Tamil Nadu. Shah Rukh Khan shared the film's first look poster.

In 2016 Summer Paralympic games held in Rio de Janeiro, Mariyappan won gold for India in high jump in T-42 category.

The film's first look poster was unveiled by Shah Rukh Khan, and he wrote on his Twitter page: "Here's presenting the first look of the biopic on Mariyappan Thangavelu, our very own national hero. All the best Aishwarya."

Raju Murugan of Cuckoo and Joker fame will be penning the dialogues for the film while Sean Roldon has been roped in to compose music for the film.

The poster also revealed that the film will be simultaneously shot in English as well.
