Chennai may see mild showers on Tuesday, said weathermen. Southern parts of Tamil Nadu, however, could receive significant rainfall on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Post Vardah, another fresh weather system showed up as a low pressure which was bound to give good showers over Chennai but that doesn’t seem to be the case now.
The weather system as a low pressure changed its course and moved in a west-southwest direction.
This system is now heading towards south coastal Tamil Nadu, and will give heavy rains over Ramanathapuram, Tuticorin, Shivganga, Nagapattinam, Kanyakumari and Tirunelveli. But that doesn’t mean that Chennai will be spared of any weather activity, said Skymetweather.
.The maximum and minimum temperatures were 30 degrees Celsius and 21.5 degrees Celsius. The met office has predicted the sky to remain generally cloudy with chance of light rain.
Skymet Weather chief meteorologist Mahesh Palawat said, " A low pressure area over the Bay of Bengal that was moving westwards toward the city coast changed course. It travelled southwestwards near southern districts.
