R Parthiepan’s Kodita Idangalai Nirappuga starring Shanthanu has been postponed from December 30 to Pongal and the makers have officially confirmed the new release plan through paper advertisements.
"We will arrive between Dangal and Pongal," said Parthiepan in his typical style. Already, a string of movies including Vijay's Bairavaa is slated to hit the screens for the harvest festival, it is to be noted.
Meanwhile, trade sources clearly say that only two or three films will be releasing for Pongal 2017 and all others are merely using the release tag as a part of their promotional strategies.
Koditta Idangalai Nirappuga is a satirical film written and directed by Parthiepan, which stars Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and Parvathy Nair in the lead roles.
Parthiepan launched the film in Tamil titled Koditta Idangalai Nirappuga in July 2016 and began shooting for the film immediately alongside Thambi Ramaiah.
He stated that the film would be produced through crowd funding, while the title was finalised after consulting an auto driver for his advice.
